Guinea-Bissau

Overview

Guinea-Bissau submitted its revised NDC in 2021. The country commits to an unconditional emissions reduction target of 10% and a conditional target of 30% by 2030. The updated NDC covers agriculture, coastal zones, energy, ecosystems, water, forests, health, infrastructure, and disaster risk management. As well as linking climate action to the Sustainable Development Goals, the updated NDC reflects concerns for women’s empowerment and gender equality. The cost of implementing the climate change mitigation measures included in the updated NDC for 2021-2030 is estimated at USD 664 million of which USD 531 million is conditional on international support.
